ziggurat design is a small architectural practice based near Kettering, Northants, dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions for residential and small commercial spaces. With a focus on better living through design, we combine expertise, creativity, and a client-centric approach to bring your vision to life. Our team is passionate about creating functional, aesthetic solutions that elevate everyday living experiences.

We work closely with our associate Structural Engineers, Planning Consultants, CDM Co-ordinators and Ecologists, and of course have a good working relationship with all the local authority planning and building control departments.

We also offer Building Surveying, preparing a detailed Condition Schedule, with defects itemised and with accompanying photographs, allowing a re-active and proactive approach to be taken to long term building maintainence. From this, we can take all the work in hand, prepare tender documents and get rectification competitively priced and carried out efficiently with great peace of mind for the client.

Locally, we work with a trusted and select group of building contractors (we would trust them to work on our own property) who we know will produce a very high standard of work at a competitive price. We carry £500,000 Professional Indemnity Insurance to give clients peace of mind.

Yes, we will do everything we can to make your project trouble-free for you.  We will submit your planning application, and make amendments if required.

Will Ziggurat submit my Building Regulations drawings for me?

Yes, Ziggurat will also submit your building regulations drawings for approval. 

Can Ziggurat arrange for structural calculations to be prepared for my project?

Yes, we work with several associate structural engineers who will prepare all the calculations and designs necessary to ensure your project is structurally sound and gains approval from the local authority.

Does Ziggurat pay my planning and building regulations fees?

No, we don't pay fees for you. When an application is submitted for approval, it will generate an email to the applicant asking for the relevant fee. It is then up to you to pay this and the application won't enter the planning or building regulations system until it is paid for.

Can Ziggurat deal with any Party Wall issues I may have?

Yes we can. We have been working as Party Wall Surveyors for slightly over 20 years and have dealt with many projects in that time.

Is Ziggurat insured?

Yes, we carry £500,000 worth of Professional Indemnity Insurance to give our clients peace of mind.
