Today we submitted a planning application for a part two storey, part single storey rear extension, together with internal alterations. This will provide a much larger kitchen/diner, sitting space and down stairs WC, as well as enlarging the first floor family bathroom.
It should make a huge difference to a compact semi-detached house.
